Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Yoga Massage Oxford

Traditional Thai Massage (also called Thai Yoga Massage) is an unrivalled form of bodywork that balances muscles, open joints and increases flexibility to restore pain free function and enhance wellbeing.

A wonderful treatment for body and mind. Acupressure and rhythmic massage combine with yoga-like stretches in a smooth flow to release and stimulate meridian lines within the body. A full body massage leaves the body and mind relaxed. This massage effectively allows muscles to release and removes energy blockages, allowing tension and pain to disperse.

Thai Massage for Sports and Injuries:
It is also an effective sports injury treatment and excellent for sports enhancement, providing a full stretching program as part of a fitness program. A flexible body is necessary for performance and fitness. The slow, deep, unhurried massage and stimulation of acupressure points speeds repair of injured muscles and soft tissues and restores normal function. All sports enthusiasts can benefit from this type of massage. Thai bodywork received regularly will significantly reduce the risk of injury, allowing sportsmen and women to train safely and effectively.

Thai Yoga Massage Therapy

Pressing and Stretching and Flexibility:
The deep pressing techniques of Thai Massage warm the muscles and increase blood flow, enabling them to be effectively stretched by the stretches that follow. Whilst you remain passive and relaxed at all times, the practitioner gives your muscles and joints a thorough workout through stretching muscles and manipulating joints that you could never hope to achieve by yourself.

Thai massage is performed on a futon mattress on the floor. The client stays fully clothed (except for bare feet) in warm, loose, comfortable clothing. The practitioner uses hands, feet, knees and elbows to manipulate and massage the client’s body.

This therapy treats many conditions from back pain, shoulder and neck stiffness and pain, sciatica or sports injuries to stress, anxiety and depression, treating the whole body on a physical and emotional level.

Session duration:
1 hour £40
1 ½ hours £50
2 hours £60

For a full body massage a session lasting at least 1 ½ hours is recommended.
